Didn't Expect That (Cara then Open) Empty
PostSubject: Didn't Expect That (Cara then Open)   Didn't Expect That (Cara then Open) EmptySun Nov 14, 2010 5:01 pm

It was a stormy day when Leo first arrived in the woods, lightning pierced the sky with each strike, the rain had never usually even touched the lush fields of Camp Demiblood, but they occasional lowered the barriers to allow the grass to get some rain and refresh the campers. And it worked Leo wonders, he walked off into the woods to the squirting sounds of the mud being crumpled beneath his foot. It built to the point that Leo found himself becoming annoyed from the constant squishing. crouching alittle he quickly pounced up a tree, tangling off the tip of a branch then yanking himself up. The water slowly dimmed in from within the leaves, dripping on Leo and giving the warm satisfactoin of a nice cold breeze as well as the damp water goodness of the seemingly looming thunder clouds. Leo could hardly see anything though, and the faint smell of timber overcame his senses, Leo climbed higher and higher, placing his foot on delicate branches and picking himself up to the point he surveyed and looked over the whole section of the border woods.

The sight was impeccable, he could see everything, the lighting illuminating the dark and cloudy sky. Leo was to indulged in his thoughts to notice the sound of rustling leaves...At first he took no notice to it and he continued admiring his surrounding's. the birds chirpped and squaked as it flew past and the occasional woodland creatures dashed and darted between the leaves like gazelles. The nymph's wailed and squeaked at the signs of lightning and refreshing water for the nature and its surrounding's, Leo simply smiled at the dances. It was fun to watch for a while. Finally Leo felt some more rustling in the trees. But Leo didn't feel like going down to the ground simply to be ambushed by some monster he wasn't prepared for, however there was no other way down - atleast Leo thought so. After searching around whilst retaining his balance ontop of the 30ft tree, he came across a vine, it was like a lasso "How confieniant" Lucio grinned. he quickly tied a knot in the vine and tossed it towards a far away tree....At first he failed, flailing around the pull the vine back he attempted once more, throwing it more...Precisley. Luckily it latched yet Leo simply gave a devious grin "I've always wanted to try this."

Taking a running start to build up so speed, he lept from the tree. Swinging to and frow, spinning left and right in and out between trees "Woah, this is goooooooooooooing great!" well, it WAS going great. That was until he came across a tree that he couldn't seem to manuever around, the tree vine span around it like a trap building all the way to the top and Leo couldn't help but utter a yell, from this point he had to options: Let go and hope for the best. Or he could hang on until the vine span all the way to the top and porbably squashed him like a grapefruit because he was swining with so much force and speed; Needless to say Leo let go and he began free-falling through the forrest "Ahhhhhhhhhh!" He yelled, bashing into branches and bursting through leaves...And there was one case with branch that just seemed to whip him in the face. Luckily, before landing Leo tuck and rolled. leaping into the nearby bush with a sword at the ready. He hid in the bush to await what followed him.

"Any minute now" Leo thought, gripping his sword tightly in his hands, was it even a monster that was following him? He probably overreacted.

Cara was sat in the middle of a clearing in the woods. Her dagger in her hand and was sharping a piece of wood into a dagger look alike. Giving up halfway as she usually would, she threw the wood into the bushes with a sigh. Maybe she could run away from camp again but she didn't want to go home. Maybe she could rent out a appartment or something? She shook her head to get that thought out of her head. That was further away from reality than DisneyLand. Placing her dagger into her sheath, she stood up and brushed dirt of her jeans. Not that it would do any good seeing as they were covered in mud anyway. Today it had been raining which dampened Cara's bad mood even more. Cara was fed up with life at the moment so she went for a walk deeper in the wood. Sometimes it would help her think and calm her down and the more she thought about the idiots who had ran past her had really annoyed. Pushing trees out of the way and stepping over tree roots, she heard some rustling in a bush. Adrenaline rushed through her veins and she quickly grabbed for her dagger. Not knowing whether it was a monster or not, she was on high alert and her senses were on super high alert. Maybe she could take the monster down or if it was a demi than she could just put away her dagger. Walking into the clearing she heard a voice coming from a bush. It seemed that someone was already expecting her so she looked straight at the bush where she heard the voice and smiled devilishly. "I wonder who that could be." She said loud enough for the person to hear.

Leo stood there, hidden within the brushes with his sword held tightly and firmly in his hands, he always had plans for these kinds of situations. If a monster was to find him, he was stay hidden. Attack when necessary - that sort of stuff. He would leap from the bushes, the the monster then fall back into the bushes, attack from the trees and then defeat it in one on one combat It seemed to be a pretty good idea. But what is it was a powerful monster? He shook his head. Romans were to that they can overcome no matter what the odds, they dominated the competition beyond recognition. That is something to which Leo shall make his mark for. He will go down for doing something great, it was just a matter of finding what was willing to perish for, this certainly wasn't one of the times where he felt of dying to be remembered. He wouldn't be remembered for something as simple as this, no.

A nervous bead of sweat trickled down his brow and dripped almost cautiously onto the floor - wait, no that was simply the rain that rippled through the leaf gaps within the bush. The faint smell of anxiety was in the air, and Leo was far more then ready to face this challenge whether it arose or not. But there was still that sickly feelings. whether or not it would be some sort of horrible beast, Leo's luck was never the best when it came to monsters. As a young child, he seemed to attract the fairly odd ones in fact. But, he couldn't be asked to remember the past. Since it held many...Horrors. He looked onward the the prickle of the trees and the rustles of the leaves. Forever lurking and waiting. He could hear a couple of twigs snapping in the distance. Suddenly, he caught sight of a figure, a figure of something he couldn't quite make out, due to the rain in his eyes and the darkness all around. In any case he ran.

He ran toward the figure, not yet drawing his sword, but instead he clambered up the branch of a tree whilst avoiding the inevitable snapping of the branch itself, he switch from branch to branch avoiding from being spotted by the figure. If he was spotted, well, that would be a sticky situation. To be honest Leo's hands were slightly burned from all the tree climbing and jumping and swinging and flipping he had been doing in the Forrest. The only reason he even went there in the first place was to have a workout session. train with his swords and practice his skills for the next capture the flag game, yet a disturbance appeared. he shook his head for the moment and waited for the seemingly dazed figure to turn around, just seemed safer. Finally, he took a deep breath and lunged.

He leaped through the air, not yet drawing his sword and not yelling. That was a real silent strike, the plan was to land on the figure and subdue it to the ground, before seeing whether it was a Demi-blood or a monster, if it was a monster, end of its life. Simple, If it was a Demi-blood...Well, Leo may hesitate before actually pulling his weapon back. Intimidation is a good tool to use when in unfamiliar grounds, right? Finally, he managed to see the figure clearly enough whilst flying through the air. Yet he kept going, he wasn't sure enough to tell if it was a human or a monster...No offense if it was infact a huma-well, Demi-blood. He just prayed he actually landed on the thing.

Cara didn't get an answer. All she could hear was a few branches breaking and some footsteps. Cara knew someone was with her, whether it be a monster or a demiblood. Whoever it was, she was ready for them. She slowly reached into her sheath were she kept her dagger and had her exploding marballs. She reached into the bag and pulled one out. She had tried one out already and it took about five seconds to actually explode, enough time for Cara to escape. Then from out of a tree, a boy, older than Cara, launched toward her. If it was for her fast reflexes or ADHD then Cara would have been screwed. The rebel rolled onto the floor out of the way so that the boy couldn't land on her. She looked at him with total disgust. What was her doing jumping on another demiblood? Landing on her feet, Cara placed the marble and her dagger back where they belonged and looked at the boy. He must either be crazy or stupid. Who did he think he was jumping on her like that? Any other normal person would have walked out of the bushes, not pounced out of a tree. "Hey, what d'ya think you're doing?!" Cara asked icily. this boy had annoyed her and she didn't even though his name.
